Hi, I’m Ray Harris!

Also known as the “R” behind REAL Home Improvements. I’m a licensed general contractor, high school teacher, military veteran, and most importantly… a proud father to three kids (4 if you include our dog, Bruce).

I have over 20 years of hands-on experience in the home improvement industry and I genuinely love what I do. There’s nothing better than taking a space that doesn’t work and turning it into something that feels like home.

I bring a mix of craftsmanship, creativity, and dad-joke-level patience to every job I take on. My hands-on approach and commitment to quality, ensure that each renovation — from kitchen remodels to basement finishing — is completed with precision, integrity, and care while also keeping it “real.”

When I’m not building stuff or running to Menards for “just one more thing,” you’ll probably find me at our cabin trying to relax (keyword: trying) or keeping up with my three kids like it’s a full-time Olympic sport. Either way, my wife Liz and I are always up to something.
